On Monday, a road crew in Vaughan, a town north of Toronto, revealed an aboriginal ossuary while undertaking a road widening, the story of which has since been written up in the local newspapers as well as published on Canada.com.
This is a good chance to see the company I work for in action, because the director, Ron Williamson, is primarily interested in Native culture and this is what the company lives for. ASI is the largest archaeological consulting firm in Ontario and as such they are the professionals most often called to a site such as this, unless a university has also become involved.
